Geanta mica cu paiete

I love everything beaded! I can't really explained why, but the thought of wearing something that a lot of work and care went into creating, makes me appreciate that piece even more. 

Take this black, evening purse for example - the long, silk rope as a handle, the detailed beading, the sateen cover - all of these little touches make it special and worthy of a few nights out and fancy events. I also love the semi-box shape and the fact that it pretty much goes with everything. I can see it paired with a long maxi dress or a pair of jeans with high heels and a backless top.

Geanta retro cu cadru

How do you feel about small bags? I used to have mixed feelings about them because I'm so tall and the complete opposite of what you'd call dainty and always felt a bit ridiculous wearing one.

But that's not the case anymore - there are times when a small bag is just what you need. I'm personally drawn to retro designs and interesting details - that's way the mix of leather and velvet with the gold frame in the bag below really works for me. 

Not to mention the simple fact that you're going to feel pounds lighter without a big bag enabling you to carry everything you own with you, every single day!:)

The green bag

You have to love a bag that's both functional and interesting! 

And the one below it's exactly that - the mix of black and green in reptile texture with gold hardware gives it personality, while the shape, the many pockets it has and the way it's divided make it perfect for a busy woman that likes to be prepared for everything.

Descriere: Geanta mare cu o textura speciala (piele de reptila) in nuante de verde si negru, forma dreptunghiulara, cu hardware auriu si un detaliu cu ciucure si sigla aurie Julien Macdonald, este foarte bine impartita: in total are patru compartimente, cel din centru se inchide cu fermoar si toate patru sunt inchise cu o catarama exterioara lata, captusita cu material verde sintetic, stare excelenta (este noua)!

Reinvent yourself

I’m often asked for tips about how to wear vintage clothes without looking old-fashioned. The best advice I can give is the one thing I always use myself: mix old and new, low and high - the result will always be original. The secret is really something very simple: modern accessories and shoes will always make a vintage piece stand out and look modern again.

Take this outfit for example: the dress is a simple retro piece that I styled with a burgundy belt to give it a flattering shape and a very actual pair of boots to reinvent the whole look. This way I avoided an outdated get up (that’s sometimes the case when wearing an all vintage outfit) or looking like the window mannequin of a high street store (which is the other face of the coin when you combine one too many on trend items in your outfits).

If you’re not a lover of high heels and statement jewelry are not really your style than you can always wear a new pair of shades. These Marc Jacobs sunglasses for example are both timeless and chic and will elevate any get up you have in mind. Then again I’m a die-hard fan of sunnies and a true believer in their power of making anything cool.
